The Schönitz guesthouse has a special feel to it, and everything worked out just right for us during our three days in Meissen. We really enjoyed the stay and would happily recommend it.

Breakfast is made individually, with fresh rolls from the bakery, and there’s an excellent Italian restaurant downstairs. This is a family-run guesthouse in the heart of Meissen, with lovely, thoughtfully furnished rooms. The hostess and her daughter make breakfast feel personal and almost like home, and keep you entertained too 😉.

You get an extensive breakfast selection and friendly, very attentive staff. The rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable, and the guesthouse is right in Meissen’s old town, with a parking garage across the street. I can recommend staying here with a clear conscience!

The house is close to the city center, so it’s easy to get around on foot. We had a delicious breakfast and felt very comfortable during our mother-child vacation. The house is lovingly furnished and the people there are lovely. We’ll definitely come back.

Meissen is on our list for a city break, but we definitely won’t stay at this guesthouse. I saw it on the TV show "My Heavenly Hotel" and it made a very good impression, much like its reviews on various websites. Still, the ladies did themselves no favors by taking part. Even though the guesthouse won, they came across as extremely unpleasant, judging the other contestants by the rule, "If we don't like it, it's bad." That kind of intolerance is sad.
