Hotel Restaurant Zehn Brunnen

The restaurant is lovely to look at, with pretty decorations throughout. We went for dinner and had very good service. The menu sounded amazing, and the dishes we ordered were delicious.

We ordered dessert, but after waiting 20 minutes, we gave up and canceled it. That was typical of the service all evening. My wife’s sparkling water came with a broken glass. I took it back to the waiter inside, and he said he’d replace it right away. Ten minutes later, I went in again because he seemed to have forgotten, and it took another 15 minutes to get a new glass. The food was disappointing too. Unlike many of the nice small restaurants in the area, this one seemed to rely on shortcuts and frozen, prepared food. The schnitzel wasn’t what you’d expect from a traditional place, the fries were soft and only warm, and the kitchen had run out of limons for the schnitzel. A very disappointing first visit. We won’t be back.

I was visiting from Australia, and the staff made me feel very welcome. It’s a very nice, relaxed location, with service and food at an excellent restaurant standard. I had a great experience and will visit again next time I’m in Germany.

The rooms were spacious, practical, and very clean. Breakfast was very good and had all the essentials, and the staff were super friendly. I’ll definitely go back if I’m in Renningen again.
