Beautiful setting, kind and helpful reception staff, spacious spotless rooms, and good food. I’d have given the place five stars if I hadn’t stayed overnight. The walls are so thin I could hear everything, with no real privacy. And when the next-door guest doesn’t wake you, staff will: inexplicably, they clean the hall at 7.30am on a Saturday.

On a sunny day, sitting inside or outside the restaurant and wandering by the water is lovely, and it’s a nice little castle to visit with kids. Entry to the grounds costs 6€, but that amount comes off your bill if you order food or a drink.

There’s plenty of parking and large grounds, and several staff members speak English. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room and bathroom were very well appointed, and breakfast was a buffet with a wide choice of dishes. There’s also an à la carte restaurant and an in-house brewery with two excellent beers, a helles and a dunkel.

The brewery buffet dinner was very good, and the prices felt fair. The service was fine too. It’s a lovely castle with a hotel, brewery, restaurant, and its own coffee.

There’s a restaurant and brewery, but in my view, little else has been done to make the castle a worthwhile tourist attraction. They charge 2 Euros to enter, then let you deduct that fee from your restaurant bill, which seems intended to steer people toward dining there.
