The owners and staff are so welcoming that you quickly feel at home. I travel around Germany for work and have stayed here twice now, years apart. The hotel and guesthouse are furnished with care and style, and breakfast is excellent. It’s one of my favorite places to stay.

I was in the area for work and needed a decent place to stay. The room was okay, nothing special, but not bad either. The owner or manager made this a one-star experience: I’ve never met anyone so unfriendly and arrogant, or so poorly suited to customer service. I can’t recommend it.

The only minor inconvenience was having to drive to the main building for breakfast. It was easy enough, though, and the breakfast there was high quality. I stay in hotels often because of my job, and this one really stood out. The decor is modern, stylish, and a little minimalist. The bathroom was clean and up to date, and I found the beds comfortable, though of course that’s personal. The owners were very friendly and made me feel looked after. If I’m back in the area, I’d choose it first and would be happy to stay again.

The room itself was fine, but I noticed yellow marks in the shower and hairs left on the toilet seat. I also found the owner conceited and unfriendly. Because of the situation at the time, we couldn’t eat at the hotel bistro, so we brought food back. The owner then sent us a rather unfriendly message saying the whole building smelled of food, that this wasn’t acceptable and smelled unpleasant, and that we should throw the leftovers away outside.
