We felt welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. The owners are so friendly, the rooms have a lovely charm, and breakfast was delicious. It was such a nice stay that we didn’t want to head home. We’d love to come back! ☺️

We felt right at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we got a warm welcome. It isn’t ultra-modern like a five-star hotel, but I wasn’t expecting that. Breakfast was generous, the swimming pool was free to use, and there’s free parking in beautiful surroundings. For the price, it was excellent. Highly recommended! 😊

The location is the one thing I can recommend. When we arrived, only the cleaner was there. She left us waiting for a few minutes while finishing her work, which I understand, though it didn’t make for a pleasant welcome. We were handed the room key and told the owner was still on her way. Later that afternoon, the owner said she hadn’t managed to get to the tourist office, so we would need to collect our guest cards there ourselves. After several hours on the road, we got this news. She could have let us know earlier, so we could have avoided driving back or going for the cards ourselves the next day. In the room, the mattress was old and worn, the pillows were flat and lumpy, and the radiator cover kept falling off (see photo). The window fly screen was badly fitted, and we still had spiders in the room every day (see photo). In the bathroom, there was a hole in the door and an issue with the radiator (see photo). The hand shower couldn’t be tilted, so the water hit the shower screen instead of us. The rain shower leaked out the side. To wash properly, you had to hold the hand shower and direct the water over yourself. We raised these problems with the manager. She only said no one had complained before. She said she’d tell her son, who was coming by that afternoon, to take a look, and if he couldn’t fix it, she’d arrange a repair person for Monday. Nothing was done before we left early. Neither she nor her son came to help or even speak with us, and they avoided us. We did get fresh towels when we asked, but they were brand new and hadn’t been washed, so they didn’t dry us, and blue lint stuck to our bodies. Breakfast wasn’t worth the price. Every day it was pre-baked rolls and packaged sausage, with no bread offered. The sliced kiwi still had its sticker on it. The bike shelter was far too small for all the bicycles. We left early, but the owner didn’t ask why, and no one checked whether we’d enjoyed the stay or had any problems. We felt there was no service, empathy, or enthusiasm for running a guesthouse. The owner, if that was her, repeatedly said she was only filling in. Not recommended.

There’s potential here, but the equipment is basic and some things are already broken.
