Föhrienhaus

We've never stayed in a better holiday home. The furnishings, appliances, and decor are all excellent, and the house has been put together with real care. It's hard to imagine finding anything missing. Johannes and Ruth were such lovely hosts, and we enjoyed chatting with them. Five stars plus, and thank you both!

Coming back to Föhrienhaus, after having stayed in all three apartments over the years, felt like coming home again. Every place is cared for down to the little details, and we never find ourselves wanting for anything. It's one of those rare holiday homes where you can settle in and feel even more at home than you do in everyday life. With the hosts so lovely too, we recommend it wholeheartedly. The island itself is a big part of the appeal. As someone born on Sylt, I find Föhr much more pleasant these days. You can see investors' influence in places, but it hasn't reached the same level as on Sylt, at least so far. Wyk has a charming shopping area, and there are little restaurants and other gems around the island, along with plenty of nature. There's something here for couples and families, with or without dogs. A holiday is something we wait a long time for, especially in turbulent times, so it's lovely to come away with good memories and a relaxed mind. Föhrienhaus helps make that happen. After a day out, some time at the beach, or even a rainy day spent indoors, it really feels like a dream version of home. 🌞

Midlum worked well as a base, with easy links to the other villages, and we loved having fields and meadows just outside for walks with Bruno. Inside, Möwennest House was spotless and felt like home right away. It's comfortable and thoughtfully supplied, from soft towels and good pillows to the many reading corners with lamps and a well-stocked bookcase. As keen readers, we especially loved that. Bruno was welcomed just as warmly as we were, and we all felt very well cared for. There's really nothing missing here. Highly recommended!
