Ferienhaus in der Forststraße

We loved having room to unwind on the big terrace and behind the house, and the view was lovely. In the evenings, two curtains can be pulled across the whole glass front for privacy, a useful detail that isn’t shown in the photos. Inside, Trudikasten has a stylish, high-quality feel, with warm wood and elegant furniture, all put together with care. We spent our September honeymoon there and plan to take another holiday there. Many thanks to the Gröber family for the delicious sparkling wine on our wedding anniversary. And do try the town pizzeria you’ll pass on the way, the pizza was excellent.

The chalet evenings were a highlight of our winter stay, with the fire crackling and those breathtaking views. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The Gröber family are warm and welcoming, and were always available with excursion tips or to help with questions and requests. They’ve made a cozy, high-standard place with real attention to detail, and it’s almost hard to leave. Still, the area is worth exploring, from a day trip to Pilsen in the Czech Republic to lunch in Regensburg’s old town or a hike to one of the charming rustic mountain huts. Our week-long holiday ended yesterday. It was simply a dream, and though this was our first stay, it won’t be our last.

We felt at ease from the moment we arrived, with a beautifully set table and a delicious bottle of wine waiting for us. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished, and we didn’t lack a thing, we could just settle right in. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. We’ll definitely come back.
