We had plenty of room for two across the apartment’s two floors, and the firm mattresses and underfloor heating made it especially comfortable. It’s right on the Painters' Way, with a well-equipped kitchen and a roomy shower. The owners were friendly and helpful. Just note that it’s cash only. We’d happily recommend it.

The owners were lovely and shared helpful ideas for hikes and sightseeing. This is a great base for walking, with the national park entrance in the valley about 30 minutes away. There’s a terrace with a little grill, plus a balcony with fantastic views. Inside, the living, dining, and kitchen areas share one open space, and there’s enough sofa room for everyone to unwind. The kitchenette is compact but has a toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and kettle. Sleeping space for five comes from two double beds and a single bed in the main bedroom.
