Pension Sonnenhof

The animals in the barns right beside the house add a lovely atmosphere, and the apartments themselves are new, modern, and full of tasteful wood details. Sonnenhof only opened last September. Mona and Sepp are so friendly, and you can buy fresh eggs from them or visit the barns, which is especially nice for kids. There are games to borrow in the basement too. My parents were staying at the beautiful Sonnenhof for the second time, and I got to join them this time. They'd talked so much about Sonnenhof and Mittenwald that I expected a lot, but the stay still exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of the town center and close to many hiking paths, including routes to beautiful mountain lakes. A heartfelt recommendation, we'll definitely be back!

The location was perfect, and the apartment was huge. We travel a lot and rent places around the world, but haven't stayed in one this spacious before. Sonnennestl is the largest apartment under the roof, and we spent 10 days there. The two balconies both have mountain views and are lovely for relaxing. Sonnenhof is decorated with care and spotlessly clean. The quality of the furnishings is consistently high, from the solid wood furniture and exposed roof beams to the kitchen and bathroom appliances and utensils. There wasn't a bunch of unnecessary stuff sitting around collecting dust, which suits me perfectly. Many thanks to Mona and Sepp for the warm hospitality and for making Sonnenhof so beautiful. The animals are very well looked after, and you can visit them during the day. The house is close to the village, with everything in walking distance, and hiking trails start right at the door. There's also a bicycle for quick errands. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in Sonnennestl, the largest apartment. The living room was stylish, and all the furnishings were new. Bed linen, towels, kitchen supplies like dish soap, dishwasher tablets, salt and oil, plus a hairdryer were all provided. From both balconies you can enjoy fantastic mountain views. We wholeheartedly recommend this lovely house and would love to return!
