The house has such a homely feel, and the rooms are lovely and decorated in country style. The old-fashioned keys were a little tricky to use, but that aside, we had an amazing stay. It’s a short walk into Mittenwald Town. Breakfast was great, with ham and cheese and even a hard-boiled egg served in a cute cup. They also have a nice, friendly dog.

Even though we stayed in pricier, more hotel-like places during our trip, this was the most pleasant stay. It had the welcoming feeling of being at a lovely grandma’s home. The rooms were clean, breakfast was great, and the balcony view was awesome. A few rooms do look onto the garden.

The one downside for our large family room was that its bathroom and toilet were outside the room. Otherwise, it was a bright, genuinely spacious room with comfortable beds and light, warm blankets, plus a pleasant feel. Breakfast was superb in a warm, homey setting. The pension is on the edge of a wonderful town, with magnificent mountain views and free street parking in front. It’s a great base for relaxing and hiking, with a waterfall a 10-minute walk away and the town center, shops and restaurants five minutes away.

We’ve stayed here a few times, in both a double room and the upstairs two-bedroom apartment, and the accommodation was spot on each time. The continental breakfast is by far the best I’ve had. It’s ideally placed for exploring Mittenwald, and the owners are friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help. Highly recommend.
