Hotel Freiraum

A quiet place to stay, and the rooms are clean, though a few details need attention. The bathroom lights and elevator weren’t working properly. Breakfast came with my booking. It was basic, but the breads were fresh and tasty, and there was cheese, cold cuts, tomatoes, cucumber, boiled eggs, cereal, preserves, juice and machine coffee. I would’ve liked some fruit. There’s good potential here.

We had a street-facing room, but it was still clean and quiet. Parking is right outside the hotel. The breakfast buffet is small, and check-in is at another hotel about 200 meters away.

The rooms were smelly and unclean, and the advertised fitness room wasn’t there. The place was so different from the listing that I cancelled, even though the booking had a no-refund policy. The owner didn’t seem considerate about how bad the condition was. Check the photos against the ad before booking.

We found the room comfortable and clean, and breakfast was simple but good. The balcony doors were hard to open, but the front desk fixed that promptly after we mentioned it. Oddly, a tissue box is glued to the bathroom windowsill, so the window can’t be opened.
