I hardly ever write reviews, but this place made me want to. I’m having breakfast now, and it’s fit for a king: all handmade and prepared, with phenomenal food. The service is the best I’ve had in the US or Europe, and the rooms and ambience feel exquisite and romantic. My parents met here and fell in love in 1957. It’s been in the same family for almost 120 years, and the owners treat you like family whether you stay one night or a week. The price is a bargain compared with other places I’ve stayed in Germany. I don’t want to leave, but I have to. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed either. MJM, SouthWest Florida, USA

Not bad. The room’s a little small and somewhat old, and light comes through the windows at night. The restaurant is excellent and quite gastronomic, though a bit expensive for everyday lunch or dinner.

The meal was excellent, and the service showed great attention to detail. It could have been quicker, though.
