The city itself doesn’t have much to offer, but the hostel makes up for that, and I’m now staying at WG Hostel Mönchengladbach/Rheydt for the third time. It’s also easy to catch a train to places like Venlo (Netherlands), Düsseldorf, and Cologne. It’s peaceful, there’s a courtyard, and you can cook in the kitchen. The price feels just right for what you get. I’ve met Carsten and Alex, who work here and seem to own the place. They’re easy to talk to about anything and make you feel welcome, not like you’re just causing extra work. The women on staff are warm and welcoming too. I’ll definitely come back if I need somewhere to stay again. Highly recommend! Best wishes, Dominic

There’s a nice atmosphere here, and the service is excellent. The rooms are spacious, with clean sheets, and the whole place feels clean and welcoming. You can choose shared, double, or single rooms, with shared or private bathrooms and kitchens to fit what you need.

Communication was good, and the price is low. The downside is that men and women share a four-bed room. Lockable lockers would be useful too.
