Gstehaus Zum Stehling

We liked how complete the breakfast was, with lots of delicious options. At checkout, we also got a chocolate as a gift, which was a lovely surprise and made us feel appreciated. The room was clean and cozy, with a good mattress and a strong heater that was great on cold days. The pillows were a little too soft for us. Still, it was a very pleasant, comfortable stay, and we'd happily return.

Breakfast had a lovely range of cold meats and cheeses, bread, fresh fruit, cakes, and cookies. The service was very friendly as well. We stopped for one night on our way north. It was quiet, and the nice room had everything we needed. I'd definitely recommend it.

The room was spacious and the bed cozy, and the hotel's location is perfect, about 30-40 minutes from Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the Belgian Grand Prix. The first two of my three nights were peaceful and I slept well. The last one was a nightmare. When I got back from Spa, there were no parking spaces left. A party was going on with loud music until at least 7 AM, when I left, and later in the evening and overnight, people in parked cars were also playing loud music. It's a shame, because the two previous nights had been so quiet. I'd have given four stars, but it is what it is. Breakfast starts at 8 AM, which is two hours too late for someone going to the Grand Prix.

Nearby concerts on weekends carry on until 2 AM, and the hotel doesn't warn guests. Expect to be kept awake until then. Best avoided if you want to sleep. The room was small and dark, with a window that only opened partway. Breakfast was average, with tinned fruit.
