We had a lovely stay. The room and bathroom suited our needs, the bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the modern TV had plenty of satellite channels. Everything was clean, which matters most to me. The owners were thoughtful with our dog too, setting out water bowls and a nice toy. Dogs are allowed for an additional fee. It's an old building, so there are narrow stairs, some changes in floor height, and a few maintenance points here and there. Still, the location is ideal, very close to the Seidenfabrik garage, and the price is hard to beat. It's quiet when the hotel isn't busy, so staff had laid out a table with all the breakfast items for us. Breakfast was good, fresh, and plentiful, though nothing extravagant. There's no need to miss having the restaurant closed, since there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. If you're happy with an authentic place, Rest Inn is a good choice.

We really enjoyed staying here. We knew when booking that our room would be in an old historic house, so we weren't expecting a typical hotel. The furnishings and style were very old-fashioned, but the room was amazing, clean, and comfortable. We'd seen a review saying the mountain river was loud and some guests found it uncomfortable for sleeping, but we found the sound relaxing and very nice. If you like unusual, old-fashioned places, we totally recommend staying here.

That huge soaking tub sealed it for me. I could stretch out completely, and at this price and with the location, the tradeoffs were absolutely worth it. Transit, street parking, and all the sights are right nearby, and the restaurant on site was excellent. You can tell the owners are making the most of an older property. It’s not a 4+ star kind of stay, but it was ideal for me.

This is just about the restaurant. The Flammkuchen was good, and the staff were really nice. They let us stay late and even offered to make us something after everywhere else had closed. Thank you!
