"moseltor" Comfortable Holiday Residence

The owners live just upstairs, and they were friendly, easygoing, and always happy to help. The apartment itself is very clean and has everything we needed. It’s tucked away somewhere peaceful, which worked well for hiking, cycling, and getting outside. From the terrace there’s a lovely view over the countryside, and it’s a nice spot for an evening barbecue or a glass of wine. We’d happily return.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The place is tastefully furnished and has everything you need, and the owners make you feel very welcome. They also share plenty of tips for things to do nearby. We’ve had another great stay and would recommend the apartment. Looking forward to coming back 🙂

We had a peaceful, relaxing time and would definitely return. The private garden terrace was a great place to spend a quiet day, and we could grill there too. We were visiting the Moselle River for the first time and picked this lovely holiday apartment, set slightly uphill with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The hosts were very friendly and told us about nearby sights and leisure activities. The apartment was clean, well kept, and had all we needed. We could also order drinks directly from the winemaker, which we highly recommend.

The apartment is furnished very well, but we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone hoping for a quiet holiday. It’s basically in the basement, and the bedroom is very dark because its only daylight comes through a small light well. There’s also no soundproofing between the owners’ apartment and the holiday apartment below, so it gets extremely noisy. The building is about 20 years old. During our stay, the landlord was renovating the facade on several days, from around 4:30 pm to 8 pm while we were in the apartment. Scaffolding was put up, shifted around, and taken down, with loud conversations throughout. When we mentioned how noisy it was, the landlord said he hadn’t realized. Two days later, the landlord couple had guests, and we could hear loud talking and laughter in the bedroom until late at night because their living room is directly above it. We couldn’t sleep. If you want a quiet vacation, look for another apartment.
