The walk to the Hbf is easy, and the room and food were both lovely. Staff were super friendly too. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re flying out of MUC.

We wanted a proper meal before our flight out of Munich, and this was just right. The locals were welcoming and accommodating, and the service was outstanding. We had traditional German food, with apple strudel for dessert, of course.

The breakfast was spot on, though it wasn’t hot. You can order eggs if you want them. Our room was spacious, with a big bed, and extremely clean. Service was quick and friendly.

At the family-run Die Drei Tannen in Moosburg an der Isar, I started with Leberspätzlebrühe. It’s a kind of chicken broth with tiny local pancakes mixed or filled with chicken liver, and I really enjoyed it. If you haven’t tried it, you should. Then I had the classic pork schnitzel with fries, which was just great.
