We stayed in the Logger apartment and had everything we needed, plus a really good parking spot in the garage. Bed linen and clean towels were supplied after a week. The place was roomy and very nice, with nothing else to complain about. A screen between the balconies would be a nice extra.

The area is lovely and the apartments have plenty of equipment, so I can see why many reviews are positive. Our stay, though, was miserable. We were put in the middle room, which had a door directly into the neighbors' room, so we could hear everything. The landlord seemed to have placed vacationers between two construction companies, and we barely slept. Loud music and bottles clinking went on every night. In the mornings, we found beer bottles on our balcony. The heating couldn't be switched off, its control kept cheerfully beeping error codes every second, and the bedroom blind wouldn't open. You can't control how guests behave, of course, but the cultural norms should be considered. When rooms connect, construction workers should be placed at the ends rather than between holidaymakers. I can't recommend this place at all.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we'd happily return. The apartment itself was great apart from a few small issues. Tourism in the area still needs work: despite beautiful weather, nobody was staffing the boat rental, and the restaurants were closed after Pentecost. Bread rolls only came from 10 a.m., which is far too late for breakfast. The bike route is lovely, though quite demanding if you ride it clockwise.

Lake Geiseltal and the landscapes around it are stunning. We especially loved the nearby vineyard, which was a treat for the scenery and the food, and Pier 5 is well worth recommending. There are two great restaurants right nearby, too. Our apartment was spotless and had a lovely, charming feel. Booking took less than an hour, and they responded straight away to our last-minute questions. We'll definitely return to these holiday apartments.
