A real letdown. The food took 45 minutes, after we had already waited 10 minutes just to get the menu. The pork knuckle was dry and overcooked, and the potatoes were too browned, nearly burnt. It felt like a waste of our time, appetite, and money. This review is about the restaurant.

I was in town for a few nights on a business trip, and the place was well kept with helpful, friendly staff. My room was across the road in 'Hotel la villa' and had recently been refurbished. It was spacious and in good shape. We ate at the restaurant on our first night, and both the food and beer were really delicious.

The homemade beer was great, but the food felt overpriced. Some of the dishes arrived cold or only lukewarm.

The meals were tasty and generous at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Be sure to try the beer specialities too. I stayed for a few nights, and the hotel was nicely presented.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable, and the rooms could use an upgrade. A light kept going off now and then at night, and the curtains didn't block it, so I kept waking up despite already being a light sleeper. The location is good, the service is lovely, and the food is decent. Still decent value for money.
