We only stayed one night, but I’d love to come back for longer. This excellent country hotel is a peaceful oasis among fields and woods, just a short drive from Münster. The rooms are well equipped, and the restaurant is superb. Its menu is limited and changes each day of the week, so you know the food is fresh. I first visited 40 years ago, when I was stationed nearby with the British Army. There’s a small training area close by, and the place was perfect for an altbier böhle (a sort of German Pimm’s) on a summer evening. I have happy memories of it, and it didn’t disappoint.

The quiet countryside setting and the lovely old buildings with all their preserved character made a great impression. Inside, the rooms are roomy, the beds are decent, and the meals are tasty and nicely presented. The staff pay attention to the details and clearly work hard. It all feels like very good value, with the price and quality well matched. Highly recommended.

Landhaus Eggert is a comfortable old house, and we had a lovely stay. There are a few things that could use a bit of tidying, but we’d be happy to consider coming back. Many of the dishes were prepared well, though we thought some ingredients could be better, especially in the pasta, bread, juices, and dairy products.

We go here regularly because it’s such a nice place. The calm atmosphere carries from the restaurant out to the terrace, and Hendrik Eggert gives guests personal attention. Walking the dog to the Haskenau is peaceful and has an interesting historical side too.

We’ve visited this hotel several times over the years and have always had a good time. The rooms are high quality and the food is excellent, but it’s the fantastic staff who make you feel welcome and know their stuff. The wellness area is very nice too.
