Room No. 4 was the one they mentioned at checkout as the only room without air conditioning. I hope that was true. The room was clean, the kitchen was very well equipped, and parking was right in front of the house. But there was no air conditioning, and the small windows were next to each other, so airing the room out was difficult. The bedroom windows had no mosquito nets. It was 30 degrees Celsius at the end of May, with mosquitoes and lots of dead flies in the room. The fan was broken too. All that for €100 a night. €300 a night in summer? I just don't get it.

Even though the guesthouse is on the main road between Ansbach and Lake Altmühl, it was still quiet. Self check in was quick and easy. The studio apartments are large and modern, with a private terrace, a small kitchenette that has everything you need, and a very spacious bathroom with a walk in shower.

Altmühlsee, Brombachsee, and Rothenburg ob der Tauber were all easy and quick to reach, and we slept really well because it was so quiet at night. We'll be back. We were welcomed very warmly and shown to our room, which completely surprised us. It was huge, inviting, and beautifully designed, with everything we needed and thoughtful, modern furnishings. The shower was the biggest I've ever seen. The stay went beyond what we expected.
