a&o München Laim - Hostel

The breakfast was a pleasant surprise for a hostel. Some hotels don’t offer as many choices, including freshly made pancakes. Our room was cute and roomy enough for two. The bed looked hard but turned out to be comfortable. The TV was small, though I watched on my own device, so it didn’t bother me. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff there were nice. I’d recommend staying here and would come back.

The staff were particularly kind. The person in charge of the dining area treated us very well and was helpful, even arranging takeaway lunches for the days we had to leave early. One receptionist, Ameen, was also gentle and handled what we needed professionally. Sorry if I’ve got your name wrong. Our rooms were very clean and had the things we needed.

The rooms were great, well prepared, and had the necessary hygiene supplies. But the power outlet didn’t work, and the service was horrible. The staff were arrogant and unpleasant. One security staff member screamed at some kids and kicked the table in front of everyone. It was a shameful scene. The food wasn’t very good, though it was at least edible. The location was awful, far from the center and dangerous.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was fine. I chose a women-only room because I wanted somewhere quiet, and the higher floor with no elevator meant the corridor was peaceful. I did miss having a locker for my belongings. The windows were warped and wouldn’t close properly, so street noise and cold air came through. The room stayed really cold even with the heating turned all the way up. I was also surprised that the app showed breakfast as “included,” but I had to pay separately in the morning. It seems like a translation error.
