Courtyard Munich Garching

The hostel is about 200 meters from a bus that connects directly to train stations for the airport or Munich. Excellent supermarkets are nearby, and staff serve good coffee downstairs. We arrived late, but clear instructions explained how to collect our room keys while reception was unmanned. We had a four-person room, and each bunk had plenty of space and privacy, with a blackout curtain, light, charging point, and shelf. The room also had a TV, fridge, toilet, shower room, and air-conditioning unit. Four lockable cupboards each fit airplane hand luggage easily. There was double glazing and blackout shutters, plus four shower towels and four hand towels. The bedding and room were very clean, and the wide mattresses and pillows were comfortable. We had four glasses and a kettle, but no cups. Excellent overall.

A comfortable place for a holiday or business trip. The people and atmosphere were welcoming, the rooms were clean and warm, and breakfast was delicious.

The mattresses, pillows, and blankets were comfortable. Each bed had its own light and two sockets, and there was a fridge and kettle. The suburban neighborhood was quiet, parking was available, public transport ran late, and the staff were friendly. The shower drained badly, leaving you standing in a puddle because of the floor shape. There was no warm water in the shower in the morning, and the bathroom lighting was dim. The bath and toilet were separate. Extra toilet paper had been left on the trash can, and the combination locks on the drawers didn’t work. The price felt quite high for a hotel so far from the city center.

The beds were comfortable and the service was great. Muki makes delicious coffee, and breakfast was tasty, varied, and balanced. I loved their dog too. We couldn’t access YouTube on the TV in our room, and the hot water only lasted a few minutes before turning cold. Still, I enjoyed the stay overall.
