The beds were uncomfortable, and I got too little sleep, which is the main thing I need from a place to stay. The rooms are well equipped for the price, but I didn't find it the best value, even though it's hard to beat the price. There's a shared kitchen that can save you money, but it was a bit dirty and a strange smell drifted through the hallways. Shared facilities also mean noise well past midnight, which I expected. Staff are really nice, but only around for about two hours a day. Personally, I wouldn't return.

The place isn't right in the center, but public transport by bus, tram, or train is close. Everything was super clean and nice, and we really enjoyed staying here. My friend and I were very satisfied, especially given the great value. Our bus from Nürnberg was delayed, so we arrived just after midnight without check-in details. I'm not sure why the instructions never reached us. I called the person in charge, who did their best to get us checked in quickly despite the late hour.

I rarely leave a one-star review, but I don't want anyone else to run into this. I arrived around 9pm and found no staff and no way to enter. The booking information hadn't made this clear. Management said they'd sent instructions, but I never received them, and they blamed me for not providing contact details even though everything was in my booking. After waiting half an hour, I gave up and went elsewhere. I finally got a message around 10pm. Being alone made it especially unacceptable. They refused my refund request. Edit: They say they sent the information, but I didn't get it, so I can't explain what happened. My booking had my email, and the app messaging worked fine. There may be some technical problem. I received messages from other businesses during the same trip.

This was easily my best lodging experience while away. The hostel felt more like a hotel. About seven hours before my flight, I came down with the flu and had to rebook the flight and find somewhere to stay longer. I spent hours dealing with the flight agency, while Marion, the hostel owner, made it quick for me to rebook. She said, "We'll make it work." It was an extremely accommodating and enjoyable stay.
