Platzl Hotel

The reception team really made us feel valued. We arrived at 11 AM, well before the 3 PM check-in, and they gave us the room key right away without any fuss or extra formalities. They were gentle, welcoming, and very helpful. The hotel has a warm, elegant feel, mixing Bavarian charm with modern comfort. Our room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The location in the heart of Munich was fantastic, close to Marienplatz and the main sights, so sightseeing was easy. This was our favorite hotel on our trip to Germany, and we'll choose Platzl Hotel again next time we're in Munich. Highly recommended! 😊

The lobby bar was just right for a nightcap after sightseeing, and the hotel made my time in Munich comfortable and enjoyable. Everything is within walking distance, the staff are excellent, and the rooms are really comfortable. I loved my stay. The location is perfect, and this is a terrific hotel. If you're staying in Munich, look no further.

The room was really comfortable, and the hotel is close to the sights we wanted to see. We also made good use of the sauna. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had, with a juicer and fruit and vegetables, a honeycomb bar, an omelet station, and gluten-free bread available on request. We got in very early after flying from America, and the hotel let us check in early. We were exhausted, so being able to take a refreshing nap was a huge bonus. Everyone on staff was very friendly. We’d absolutely recommend it and stay here again with my husband.

The location is the main reason I’d recommend this hotel. Lots of attractions are an easy walk away, and the lobby is lovely. We enjoyed drinks at the bar, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room situation was a bit disappointing. At first we were accidentally sent to someone else’s suite, which was gorgeous. Then we moved to our classic double, so the contrast was hard to miss. It was generally clean, though one nightstand had sticky residue, and the bathroom was spacious. The room’s layout felt odd: the TV was too large for its spot and sat crooked, and the walls had plenty of scuffs. The heat also wasn’t great. If you’re staying in a suite, you’ll probably enjoy the hotel a lot. A regular room may not impress you as much.
