harry’s home München Moosach hotel & apartments

Our apartment worked great for our family of four, with a separate room where the parents could relax after the kids went to bed. The kids’ play room was exceptional, with a variety of toys, loft space, and arts and crafts, and the on-site laundry was very convenient. While the hotel isn’t central, it’s a two-minute walk to the S-Bahn station, plus a short walk to an underground line serving major sites around town and a tram to the central train station. Reception staff were friendly, and the rooms really clean. We had a great overall experience at Harry’s Home Munchen, and highly recommend it as a way to avoid the major crowds everywhere in the City we visited.

Breakfast has been getting worse each time, with a long wait for them to replace food that’s run out and frankly not enough quality. The bedrooms aren’t cleaned unless you ask, and the shower pressure is so weak that taking a proper shower is a challenge. The location is very good, close to the train and bus station, but the service has got worse from year to year. I’ve stayed at Harry’s home whenever I came to Munich over the past three years. The last two times, there’s always been a group of delinquents nearby smoking weird stuff. If you leave the window open for a while, the room gets infested, and there’s also the noise of bottles being hammered and people screaming. I won’t return unless I absolutely have to.

The front desk staff were nice, but several things went wrong during my stay. They randomly started complete hallway renovations multiple times, spraying paint that left a very strong, unpleasant smell in my room. The Wi-Fi would randomly stop working, and the dryers stopped after two minutes multiple times even though I’d paid, without returning my money.

Getting around and picking up daily necessities was easy, with a large supermarket right next door and a range of shops nearby. You can get to the hotel directly from the airport on the S1, and the U3 subway line is also close. I stayed in a spacious room with a kitchen, refrigerator, and air conditioning. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful when resolving any issues. It was a great experience, and I’d definitely stay here again on another visit to Munich.
