Holiday Inn Munich - Westpark

The front desk let me check in early because of my platinum status, which was nice. I got to take a quick nap before heading out to explore. I stayed here at both the start and end of a two week tour. The first room felt a bit outdated and got very hot at night, so I opened the window. There were no plugs on the window side of the bed either. On my second day I was in a more updated room, which felt more comfortable and had the cleanliness and modern feel you'd expect.

The staff were welcoming across the hotel. Front desk was friendly, the restaurant team professional, and the cleaning staff kind and courteous. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable, with a nice style and atmosphere. We appreciated the care, attentiveness, positive attitude, and willingness to help. My family and I would be happy to return to the Holiday Inn Hotel. Thank you!

I booked this as a backup because my usual hotels were either full or too expensive due to events in Munich. It turned out to be good value for a one-night stay. The hotel feels fairly new and modern, and the bed was comfortable. It's a little out of the way, but easy to reach by car, and parking in the garage right below was very convenient.

I paid €50 cash at reception in the morning for breakfast for two, but the employee didn't add it to my room. At checkout I was charged another €50. The checkout employee was rude and unhelpful. He said he couldn't call the employee who'd taken my payment because that person was “sleeping” (???). I asked him to check the CCTV, but he wouldn't budge. I don't speak English well, so I paid the extra €50 just to get out of that place as quickly as possible. I feel the staff scammed me over the breakfast charge, and it's incredible from such an established franchise. Very shady management. Skip this location!
