The room was clean and really nice, with a warm feel and comfortable beds. Breakfast was continental style. It cost me 9 euros, but I only ate what I'd call 3 euros' worth, so whether it's worth paying extra probably depends on how much you eat.

The back-and-forth over our booking became such a mess that I cancelled in the end. I worried the details or price would change again by the time we arrived, and there are plenty of other hotels in and around Munich. Dealing with this before the trip felt like too much incompetence. We needed two nights, one on arrival in Germany and one before leaving. I emailed the hotel and received an offer. When I pointed out it cost more than the price on their website, they sent a lower corrected offer within minutes. I accepted and gave them my card details. The next day, someone else said they wouldn't honor that price and the higher original quote would apply. I should have known better, but agreed by email. Then came a string of conflicting messages: one confirmed the reservation, another cancelled it because they said I hadn't replied, then they accepted it again, and later asked yet again if I wanted to accept the offer. Two different people were sending me information and seemed not to be communicating with each other. They appeared not to know what was happening with the hotel or reservation system.

It's in a quiet part of München, with a bus stop right outside. The staff are very friendly, and the prices are low for München while the quality is still top notch. The breakfast is quite expensive and, in my opinion, not worth the price. Even someone with a good appetite might not eat enough to justify it. They do have an amazingly good selection of leaf tea, though.

The place was packed at lunchtime on a midweek day, which says a lot. Service was good and prices reasonable. The food is very traditional Bavarian, mostly meat dishes, with few vegetarian choices.
