The room was roomy and comfortable, and the food was just right for this part of the region. But the real reason I’d recommend this place is how well they look after cyclists. My son and I arrived on heavily loaded touring bikes, and the staff were genuinely kind and accommodating. When I ran into a bottom bracket problem and needed a special tool, they had what I needed and went out of their way to help. They’ve earned their “Bett & Bike” certificate. Absolutely amazing, thank you!

We had such a lovely stay here with our dog. The owners were warm and welcoming, and happy to help and explain things. Our room was clean and cozy, and the setting is beautiful. They even left us some treats for the dog. We really enjoyed our time there.

We’d gladly come back next Christmas. The hotel felt like a traditional, homely German place, and our room was spacious, clean, and tidied every day. Breakfast was plentiful, and the fresh-cooked food was excellent throughout our stay. After a twelve-hour journey over Christmas 2014, hosts Marta and Peter( Bert) did everything they could to make us feel welcome and enjoy ourselves. The surroundings were lovely and transport was good. A huge thank you to our wonderful hosts.

For the price, it was an okay place. The room and bed were fine, but the pillows weren’t. The decor was ordinary, and the windows had curtains but no blinds. Nothing particularly special.

A real hidden gem in the black forest. It’s family-run, and the owners go the extra mile to make their guests happy. Absolutely recommended.
