Really great!

The landlady is warm and very friendly, and happy to share tips on things to do. This quiet, convenient spot is a great base for excursions and hikes. The holiday apartment is beautiful, spacious, and lovingly furnished, with nothing missing. We’ll definitely come back and highly recommend the house.

We’ve stayed here several times and keep coming back. The ground-floor holiday apartment is lovely, and there are other apartments as well. It’s ideal for families, very quiet, and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The hosts are super friendly. The photo shows the morning view from the terrace.

It’s such a peaceful rural spot that you can fall asleep with the window open to the sound of the stream. My brother and I, aged 19 and 21, stayed in the downstairs apartment with a garden and were completely satisfied. The landlords were helpful and friendly, and everything was clean. We’d love to come back!

Haus Brengartner is a family-run apartment hotel, and Maria and her husband, Sigi, are lovely people. You can tell they put their heart into it. The apartments feel cozy and homey, with thoughtful layouts and modern, practical furnishings. We arrived to a bottle of white wine from a local winery and a jar of homemade blackberry jam on the table. There were flowers and greenery throughout, and the place felt alive. Thanks to Maria and Sigi for an extraordinary New Year's Eve 2020! Our attic apartment had two bedrooms and was much bigger than we expected. All the rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms opened off a hallway, with doors throughout, so we could close off the bedrooms while doing things in the kitchen. There were two matching bathrooms. The soundproofing was excellent. During our ten days, we never heard the hosts or neighbors. The kitchen had everything for comfortable cooking, including a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, stovetop, oven, kettle, drip coffee maker, mixer, salt, pepper, spices, and plenty more. There were enough dishes to run the dishwasher just once each night. There’s no microwave. Maria also let us use the washer and dryer in the basement. The radiators made it easy to dry wet laundry after washing or visiting the hot springs. The house was warm and comfortable, with natural materials that allowed it to air out naturally. There were plenty of outlets in every room, including one on both sides of the bed, and nightstands by the bed. In the living room, we could watch the large TV from a comfortable sofa that folds out to sleep a couple more people. All the bedding, plush blankets, sun lounger covers, towels, and other essentials were provided. The internet worked well and was very easy to connect to, with no limit on the number of devices. Speeds reached up to 6 Mbit/s. The windows had superb views, and a huge balcony joined the two rooms. In summer, you can relax there on a sun lounger. There’s parking for four cars right beside the house. The house is in a picturesque area with lots of walking trails nearby. Rewe and Edeka grocery stores are a five-minute drive away. France and Switzerland are less than an hour away by car. The Black Forest has plenty of activities, and thermal baths and several ski resorts are nearby. Steinwasen Park, an amusement park for children and adults, is 20 km away, but closed in winter. The building has three types of apartments, one on the ground floor and two on the second floor. There’s no elevator and there are a lot of steps, so if carrying heavy things is difficult, book a ground-floor apartment. Our stay was a really positive experience, and we’d happily return and recommend it.
