We’ll definitely come back. The room was clean and spacious, the staff pleasant, and the breakfast excellent. The food was good too, and the restaurant felt authentically German.

The bakery rolls and pretzels were a nice touch, and the value for money is hard to beat. My single room had a really comfortable mattress, and the town is quiet enough to sleep with the window open. The hotel is old, but cozy, clean, charming if you aren't expecting luxury, and well looked after. The host was friendly.

We were nearly 20 people, and, like one of the earlier reviewers, had a bad experience. The adjoining room reservation had been completely forgotten, so it was freezing cold. Even though the waiter had made a detailed "plan of the layout," three meals were forgotten, drinks got mixed up, and the sides came late, apparently needing to be "brought in" from outside. The pan-fried Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) portion was tiny, the coffee milk was curdled, and the restroom had no paper towels. No further comment needed.

The complaint afterward was accepted, at least. The cook and waitstaff were stressed, though, and the fried potatoes had been cooked in fish oil. Almost all the dishes were unavailable when we went on Sunday at 3 pm, and what we could order was far below average quality for the price. I can't recommend it.
