Breakfast really stood out, and it was included for free. The room was spotless and the staff were so friendly. I've stayed at a few hotel restaurants before, but this one's my favorite by far. Highly recommend it!

We were helped to get to the wedding venue, and our hosts even arranged a local bike hike for us. Gasthof Engel was such a lovely surprise when I came for a friend's wedding in the area. The Lott family made us feel like friends, not customers, and the property has a beautiful garden and pool. The local food and wine were another surprise. Chef Carl is both talented and humble. We had local deer and handmade noodles with a fantastic gravy and cranberry sauce. Such a hidden gem.

The breakfast buffet was amazing, they really went all out. Dinner was pretty simple, but good everyday food. The building and furnishings are a bit old, though the price is low and the staff are very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
