The wooden floors mean you can hear everyone walking around at any hour. The towels are old and only sort of clean, and the Wi-Fi is really slow. There aren’t enough parking spaces for everyone. You can hire an iron at reception when it’s open, but there are no ironing boards. If I needed a cheap hotel in Ulm again, I’d avoid this one.

The internet didn’t connect at all in the building where my room was. It worked in the first building, but not mine. I only stayed one night and didn’t need to work, otherwise I’d have been very disappointed. The room was large, with comfortable beds, lots of wardrobes, a big TV, and a comfortable bathroom with ventilation. Breakfast was decent, and overall I had a good stay.

The service was good, but I couldn’t get enough sleep because light came through the curtains and through the window above the room door. Breakfast had very little to choose from, and the eggs weren’t good. The rooms weren’t very nice.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and there’s free, spacious parking on site. The family room was clean and roomy, with two double beds, one single bed, and a private bathroom. It was warm after a hot day. At 112 EUR in mid-April, the room was good value. Breakfast was average for the price at 8.90 EUR per person, and felt overpriced for kids since there was no discount. It’s close to the motorway, which makes it handy for an overnight stop on the way to Austria.

This is a basic business hotel, better suited to an overnight stay than a family trip. It’s in an industrial area outside town, but Ulm is a beautiful place and well worth visiting, about a 20-minute walk away.
