We felt right at home during our long weekend, and I'd happily book Wiekhaus 49 again. Its spot in the old town is great for setting off on bike rides. The whole house had excellent Wi-Fi, and our utilities for three days came to under four euros since we didn't need to heat it. The place has a character of its own. Downstairs there's a tiny toilet and a really well-equipped kitchen, with a comfortable living room and big TV on the first floor. The bathroom is small, but the shower works well, and the attic bedroom has a very good bed.

We were there in winter, so the note below about not needing heat in summer doesn't apply. We barely heated the Wiekhaus, mostly just the middle room, and were out all day, using it for breakfast, TV, and sleep. Even so, the heating and utilities charge came to 10% of the already high rental price. With nearly €70 added, the total felt completely out of proportion to the property. The stay itself was okay, though the photos make it look a little better. A shame. I wouldn't stay again.
