The rental is in a great location and very well equipped, but there are several things to keep in mind. The garden is now quite restricted, and the pavilion and jetty are marked private. To get there, you have to go through the owner's garage, where motorcycles and valuables are kept, which feels awkward. The parking spots are tight and there’s no clear assignment of spaces. The photos are out of date since the owner made changes: a construction company now occupies the neighboring building, and the sauna/solarium is no longer available. Starting at 6:45 a.m., the company's vehicles can disturb anyone hoping to sleep in. That cost a star. The limited garden access also merits a star off. It’s all inconvenient, though probably unavoidable. I’d recommend the place, as long as you know what to expect.

We found the Deichblick apartment very clean when we arrived, and the view from the patio was fantastic. The location and the other residents were quiet and relaxing. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could want, though all the rooms and kitchen are small, with sloping ceilings making them feel more limited. The kitchen chairs don’t match the website photos and have dark brown plush covers that seem quite unhygienic. The bathroom sinks are low, and the light over the sink doesn’t work. You can only reach the patio through the owner's garage, which has five e-bikes, a washing machine, and all the other things you’d expect to find in a garage. Still, Neuharlingersiel is always worth a visit!

We still have a few days here and plan to enjoy every one of them. The apartment is a dream, and there’s a beautiful lake behind the house. We’ve had lovely weather too. As always, the Harms family are friendly and very attentive to their guests, and we feel very comfortable here.
