Ferienwohnung Späth

I got this response to my inquiry about an Audi R8 listed for €46,000. It eventually sold for €43,500, though not to him. The car was called poorly maintained, including the leather, and he said I’d be lucky to get an offer of €35,000. He claimed that since it had been driven in winter, he wouldn’t offer more than €30,000, even if it had only been used in summer with seasonal plates and had 20,000 km. His reason: dealers can’t make a living by losing money. Then came the sign-off and the skateboard offer: “I have a skateboard I’d give you for it 👍” I replied that it was only driven in summer 👍. He said he understood I was disappointed, that the truth was harsh, and maybe I’d get lucky, adding that nobody wants to buy cheap in a distress sale. Totally unprofessional bungler.

The owners were lovely and friendly. The 90-square-meter holiday apartment has a big balcony, an excellent kitchen, and very comfortable living room, bedroom, and bathroom.

The RX8 I bought matched what he had told me about it. A fair dealer.

The landlords were so friendly, and the apartment was spacious and well kept. We’ll definitely return.
