There are lots of hiking trails nearby, and the setting is beautiful, though it feels like the middle of nowhere. The room was small and dated, especially the bathroom. Food was decent but nothing exceptional, while the breakfast buffet was very nice. It felt a bit expensive for what you get.

So quiet, and such beautiful surroundings. We had a very relaxing three-day break in this lovely place. The rooms were generous, the food was great and there was more than I could eat. The staff were very friendly. An absolute pleasure and a great place to unwind!

The restaurant kitchen is fantastic, and the rooms are wonderful. Waldau is a little off the beaten path, but the hotel sits in a beautiful setting and feels luxurious. Highly recommended.

The views are stunning, and the staff are warm and friendly. It’s a lovely little hotel tucked into the windy valleys of the Black Forest, with delicious food too.

We came with a group of 46 for the second time, and we'll definitely be back. It's a really nice, typically styled place, the food is very good, and everyone on staff was so nice to us.
