The houses are creative, and the service and maintenance crew were super friendly. Still, the view wasn't what we expected, and it felt quite pricey next to more comfortable places nearby.

Small, but lovely, and everything was pretty well organized. We had a great time.

We were there in October and the heating made that perfectly comfortable. In summer, though, I can imagine it might be unpleasant. The space is cramped, but the two of us managed for three nights, and the bathroom has what you need. Just plan your showers: the floor stays wet in the corners for a while, and even mopping doesn't get it fully dry. There's no underfloor heating, and you'll want flip-flops if one of you showers and the other needs to use the bathroom afterward. You get a ceiling-mounted shower only. There's a hairdryer in the "kitchen." We had breakfast at the bakeries. Don't bring suitcases, there isn't room for them. A pannier or travel backpack is a better fit. I was a bit concerned about climbing into bed, but there is a slanted ladder with steps and a platform to stand on in front of it. Worth trying, we enjoyed our stay.

At 77, staying in such an unusual place made me feel young again. I spent two nights at the slube in Neustrelitz's city harbor and had a fantastic time. They fit everything you need into a very small space. I only missed having a handheld shower head, since the whole area gets soaked without one.
