Rhein-Hotel Nierstein

I wasn't planning to write a review when I walked into the Rhein-Hotel, but room #5 changed my mind. For what I paid, I honestly thought they'd given me the wrong room. It was possibly the cleanest, most modern room I'd seen in ages, with a jacuzzi bath and a toilet that washed the parts I thought only Carlsberg could teach. Then I met the owner, who was amazing, Niersteins answer to Paris Hilton. She's the 5th generation owner, and you can tell she really cares. What a refreshing experience. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. And the food, wow!

The position on the mighty Rhine is incredible, and there seems to be lots to do nearby. We were just passing through by car last night and wished we'd stayed an extra night to enjoy the BEST room and facilities. We'd be very tempted to make it a full wine holiday. The breakfast spread was generous and delicious, just as you'd expect from a classy family-run place. We're coffee snobs and couldn't fault it. Steffi and her team know how to please. I highly recommend making this your destination hotel.

The terrace is the only one in Nierstein that faces the Rhine, with incredible river views from the outdoor seating just across the street. The food, drinks, and wine are exquisite, and the view has no comparison. Service and staff are impeccable. The hotel has been here since 1908, handed down through generations, and is now in its 4th generation. The gentleman who owns it is very personable, as is everyone who works there. The breakfast selection is beyond comparison, and the food is amazing. Rooms are incredibly beautiful and full of elegant charm, with electronic shades, wall-mounted A/C, and a bidet. The shower and bathtub are gorgeous and so relaxing. In room 11, the artwork above the bed shows a local winery and its vineyard. A charming, comfortable, pleasant stay. If you visit Nierstein, Germany, this is the place to stay. 5 stars! Highly recommend.

We felt well looked after, and the staff spoke good English. The Rhein Hotel was lovely, tasteful, clean, and tidy, with secure storage for bikes. We'd definitely recommend it.
