We had a great time and would love to come back. The breakfasts were good, and we enjoyed the bar and indoor pool as well. Our family room was fantastic: a parents’ room, a living room with kitchenette, and a kids’ room with bunk beds. There was a huge wooden deck with a perfect sunset view, and the spectacular sunsets and beaches were right outside the door at Haus am Meer Hotel on Norderney. Great restaurants and bars were an easy walk away. It was the perfect place to stay on the island.

The hotel itself is quiet, but sound carries poorly between rooms in the suite. Management seems a bit complacent. There’s no air conditioning or room service, and the WiFi has a low limit on the number of devices. Room cleaning wasn’t very thorough, and there isn’t really a facility for washing up. Breakfast has to be booked, and there’s no chance of getting it if you haven’t. They do have board games and children’s games in the bar.

The room was unbearably warm well into the night. There’s no AC, and although one window opens, it’s only part of the huge glass wall. The glass railing blocks much of the airflow, too. Opening it also means hearing the lively, noisy crowds at Milchbar late into the evening. That’s a big drawback at a definitely premium room rate. The hotel and rooms are lovely, the location couldn’t be better, and the staff are super friendly. Breakfast was very good, even if the choices were somewhat limited.

I’m sorry, but I didn’t like the people from this hotel.
