Ferienwohnung 2 Bauernhof von Eden

We were greeted by the sweetest puppies, and there are plenty of other animals to enjoy if you like farm life. The owners were lovely and friendly, the rooms had plenty of space, and the beds were comfortable. There’s lots to do nearby too. A great place to stay.

I was cycling from the Netherlands to Sweden and had arrived late in the evening, so I really appreciated how willing the friendly owner was to work with me. The room was clean and good, and there’s a nice barbecue outside. A nearby village has everything you need. This place saved my night, and I’d definitely come back when I want to get away from “the world.”

We only had the weekend, which was a shame. The dogs are so well behaved, and watching them on their walks is a real pleasure. There were also guinea pigs with babies, parrots, two piglets, several goats, three sheep, two geese, and five dogs with 11 puppies. They all looked healthy and well cared for. We got a really warm welcome, and the beds were the best we’ve ever had in a vacation rental. Great value for the price.

The layout of the large apartment is something to know about: it doesn’t have its own entrance door. You go into the building and straight upstairs, so tenants in the apartment below could come upstairs at any time. The downstairs apartment does have a separate door. It didn’t bother us, though. The place was clean, had everything we needed, and was perfectly adequate for a weekend. We were warmly welcomed and shown around. We left on our own the evening before and still got a partial refund. We’d stay there again.
