Hotel im Homburger Ländchen

The self-service fridge with soft drinks and snacks was available around the clock, and the prices were very fair. The place was extremely clean, a rare find, and the rooms could be darkened really well. The furniture is old, but it was easy to overlook that. One thing that bothered us was the bright light on the light and blind control, which lit up the whole room. We don't mind normal light and usually leave the blinds up at home, but this harsh glow was disruptive, so we hung our jackets over it to block it. Breakfast was the big disappointment. A small selection would have been fine if the quality had been better. The eggs were very hard-boiled, the rolls were just okay, and there was no cream cheese. The usual basics were there, butter, two cheeses, salami, children's sausage, some kind of jam, and a little muesli. There were only a few cucumber and tomato slices, not enough for the number of guests, and they seemed more like decoration. The orange juice was from concentrate and not very good. Only still water was offered, and the filter coffee came from a pot. Sunday breakfast from 7 to 10 was inconvenient too, 8 to 11 would suit us better. We had family members who had to pay €10 each to get breakfast outside the hotel, which was a shame. We would have been better off without booking breakfast. Maybe they could charge a little more for better quality, or just not offer it. I mean no offense, but several reviews seemed to share the same opinion about breakfast. I hadn't made the booking myself, so I couldn't read them beforehand. Still, big praise for how clean everything was.

The welcome was very warm, and we even got a complimentary upgrade. I stayed two nights with my daughter in the Homburg region, and we were very satisfied overall. Breakfast was okay, which is why I gave service only three stars. There was no lactose-free, soy, or oat milk, and staff took eggs away from our table when we tried to have more than one from the buffet. That could be improved. Our little dog was allowed in the breakfast room, which isn't always the case. We'd gladly return, but would recommend booking without breakfast.

We were there as a group touring by motorcycle, and all our bikes could be stored in the basement. The small restaurant next door was handy for a pleasant evening and a light bite. The hotel is right in the town center, so everything is easy to reach on foot. Service was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are newly renovated, clean, and practical, with a very clean, fairly spacious bathroom. Breakfast is standard, and the value for money is excellent. Highly recommended.

My late arrival went perfectly after I booked a night here spontaneously. The accommodation was pleasant and very clean, with absolutely friendly service. Helpfulness and looking after guests are clearly priorities. The generous breakfast and excellent value were fantastic. I'd recommend it to motorcyclists, hikers, and anyone travelling spontaneously.
