Dorint Am Nürburgring Hocheifel

We could see and hear cars each evening because our room was right on the track. The rooms were clean, and there are little racing touches everywhere, from tire marks on the carpet to the formula car hanging in the lobby/bar area. As a motorsports fan, staying somewhere this unusual made for an incredible experience.

Breakfast was among the best I’ve had at a hotel, though it was odd not to find a coffee machine anywhere, just coffee served in a flask. I was hoping the bar at the entrance, with its old F1 car and bike, would be open, but it wasn’t, which was a shame since the area is used for advertising. The location lives up to its appearance. Even the first-floor rooms have a good view, and I imagine the higher ones are better still.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and really comfortable, and the views from the trackside location are incredible. That alone made the stay feel worth the money. Still, the reception staff came across as unhelpful and quite rude, and we were left feeling unwelcome. It was disappointing, since the rest of the hotel was so good. Better service could have made this a five-star stay.

The restaurant stood out, with excellent food that was fresh, well prepared, and full of flavor. Breakfast, dinner, and even a quick bite were all spot on, and the service was warm and professional. The hotel bars have a great atmosphere, whether you’re talking with motorsport fans or relaxing after a day at the track. The décor and history on the walls give the place real character. I stayed in a trackside room with a balcony, which I’d recommend: waking up to engine sounds and watching cars go by from the room felt like front-row seats to a race. The Dorint Am Nürburgring Hocheifel is right on the legendary Nürburgring circuit, and it exceeded my expectations with its mix of comfort, motorsport energy, and authentic charm. For races, a Nordschleife drive, or just soaking up the atmosphere, it’s a perfect base and feels like part of the Nürburgring experience.
