Best Western Hotel Nuernberg City West

The location is good, the hotel is nice, and breakfast is very good. But the room temperature was a problem: it was 10c outside and 25c in the room, with no way to use the AC. I woke up involuntarily every morning as it got hotter. The Wi-Fi was also unstable and slow, so working wasn't possible.

The buffet breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of options like eggs, bacon, cheese, jam, yogurt, croissants, and Nutella. The hotel is also conveniently located 200 meters from a metro station. Our standard room wasn't worth what we paid. There was mold on the shower, which is a health concern as well as an eyesore. The duvets were extremely thin, more suited to summer in southern Europe, and the heating didn't work. After we reported it, they moved us to a suite, which was much nicer, though even there we found some mold spots. I think heating in every room should be checked before guests arrive. Parking costs 11 EUR per night, can't be reserved ahead, and there may not be enough spaces for everyone.

The breakfast buffet was great, and the staff were lovely. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. Our room was clean, large, quiet, and nicely furnished, with a comfortable place to sit besides the bed. We had a balcony, but there was no outdoor seating.

I made the reservation for a business trip using an address my client had mistakenly given me. When I realized it was the wrong location, I contacted the hotel right away to ask about cancelling. I understand the booking was non-refundable, but it was disappointing that they weren't willing to look at my situation or consider any flexibility. The lack of empathy was frustrating.
