The hotel was tidy and very nice, with a convenient location and an excellent breakfast. I did have one issue: there were no USB charging ports or universal plug for US, UK, or Canada devices. The shower head and its holder also didn’t work properly, though that may have been specific to my room.

The friendly staff gave fine service, and breakfast was superb. We liked the great location and the comfortable historic building, which was nicely decorated. We really enjoyed everything about the hotel.

Jonas was awesome, and the breakfast and location were great. The place is a little old, but it has so much charm that it didn’t bother me. I’d definitely stay again.

Hotel Deutscher Kaiser makes a comfortable base for seeing the city. It’s just steps from St. Lorenz Cathedral, and the Hauptmarkt, Imperial Castle, and busy shopping streets are all easy to reach on foot. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, and very clean, with historic architecture and refined details creating a warm feel. The beds were comfortable, too. The staff were incredible from the moment we arrived, warm and welcoming and always ready to help. Their attention and genuine hospitality made the stay special. Breakfast was another highlight, fresh and delicious in a charming setting. For a boutique-style stay with character, comfort, and a hard-to-beat location, I’d happily return.

Beautiful original furniture and decor give this historic hotel a lovely atmosphere, and the premises were spotless. The service was excellent. It felt like a five-star hotel, right in the heart of Nürnberg. A must when you’re in town!
