We had paid for four nights in advance, but the hotel cancelled our reservation an hour before we were due to arrive. After travelling overnight and dealing with a delayed train, we reached the reception at 8:00 a.m. with no room in a foreign country and unfamiliar city. The concierge showed no empathy and told us, “There are no rooms. You didn’t make it in time — that’s your problem,” then effectively sent us out onto the street. They gave us no refund and told us to “contact Booking,” pushing all responsibility onto a third party. There was no apology, help, or alternative offered, not even basic human decency. I've never had such unfriendly, unacceptable, inhumane treatment from hotel staff. This was the worst hotel stay of my life, with no service, accountability, or respect for guests. If safety, respect, and basic human treatment matter to you, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

The WiFi was virtually nonexistent in my room beside the elevator, and extremely flaky and slow while I was there. That made working remotely very difficult. The hotel is also beside a main road, so it can get a bit loud at night; I'd suggest earplugs. On the plus side, it's only a few minutes' walk to Old town. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, the rooms are quite large and very good for the price, and the breakfast buffet is the best I've had. It's well worth getting, with smoked salmon, a variety of sandwiches, homemade desserts, fresh melons, and more.

After a night journey, we arrived in a foreign city to find ourselves without a room. Our reservation had been fully prepaid, yet the hotel cancelled it one hour before we got there. Staff were rude and showed zero empathy, just saying it was “our problem” and sending us away. There was no refund; they told us to contact Booking instead. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this hotel.

The staff are very friendly, and the room was really comfortable. There's a lovely Old World charm to the hotel, and the location is great, very near Nürnberg Castle and the Altstad are of Nürnberg.

We had a great night's sleep during our one-night stay. The staff were super friendly, and the beds were amazing.
