Melter Hotel & Apartments

Our Deluxe Apartment worked really well for our family of three. It was spacious, comfortable, very clean, and laid out in a practical way. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is ideal, right in the center of Nuremberg and within walking distance of everywhere. Our stay at Melter Hotel & Apartments exceeded expectations, and we'd definitely choose it again if we return to Nuremberg.

Everything in the apartment feels beautiful and carefully designed, with both form and function handled so well. We had ample room and counter space, enough hooks, a luggage rack, quality kitchenware, and great water pressure. The staff were genuinely helpful, and there are restaurants and grocery stalls all around. It's a great design hotel in a central spot that's easy to reach from the train station. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

The room had warm, welcoming decor and was very comfortable. I especially liked the large bed and spacious bathroom, and the shower had good water flow. Breakfast at the Japanese restaurant next door was wonderful, with a good choice of bread, cold cuts, cereal, and non-dairy milk, plus good coffee and service. You can ask for eggs cooked how you like, though I only found that out after breakfast. We were there for one night and didn't use the laundry or gym. We would return despite the check-in trouble. Finding the hotel was challenging because we didn't know the small streets and weren't sure if we could drive onto the street or pavement, so we parked in a nearby garage and walked over with our luggage. We arrived after 8pm on a Saturday, and there was nobody at the desk. We got into reception as some guests were leaving. We understand an email with the lockbox code should have been sent, but it wasn't in our inbox or junk folder. Our global eSIM data plan couldn't call the after-hours emergency number at reception, and our Canadian telco plan didn't include global roaming because they charge too much for it. Hotels could use WhatsApp business numbers for automated texts or data calls, since many travelers now have data plans with providers like Airalo and Saily. We borrowed a phone from Monki, the restaurant next door, to call the emergency number and get the lockbox code. We appreciated Monki's help. Things worked out, but I wish we'd gone to Monki sooner instead of struggling with hotels.com and ending up back at square one.

The breakfast and service were both first class, and we had such a happy stay at Melter hotel and apartments. The bed was comfy, the shower was amazing, and the flat TV was a nice touch. It’s a super modern hotel with all the comforts, and a great base for exploring winderful Nuremburg.
