The hotel was clean and well looked after, with friendly staff and a welcoming feel. It made for a relaxing, comfortable stay, and the setting worked really well with the hotel. A lovely choice if you want a pleasant place to unwind.

Breakfast has been getting worse: nothing seems to be replenished, and this morning there were no sweet pastries left, just kaiser bread. There also haven't been any scrambled eggs this week. The ground floor and elevator have a really bad smell, maybe from fresh paint, and having breakfast with that odor isn't pleasant. On top of that, there's drilling noise from building work on some mornings and afternoons. The hotel is right in the centre of Oberammergau, the staff are friendly, and room 110 was okay. The drink machine outside the room didn't bother me.

I went in for coffees and hot chocolates and ended up being charged twice because of “technology” problems with the card reader. Even after I showed them the payment had gone through on my end, the staff were rude and insisted I tap my card again.

It was fine for a short stay, and the central spot made it easy to get around. The hotel feels dated, though, and some areas need renovating. Breakfast was only average, with a broken coffee machine making it worse. Nothing especially memorable.

We'd stay here again. The rooms looked even more modern in person than they did in the pictures, and the staff were lovely. Free parking at the hotel was a nice extra. It's a perfect base for enjoying this amazing Bavarian village.
