The owners were really helpful, and the whole place was clean. The shared kitchen and dining areas are very nice and well equipped. The rooms are thoughtfully arranged, with a desk, couch, bathroom, and storage that keeps your things out of sight. There’s also a safe, and the area is very quiet. They even sell cold drinks cheaply. I’d definitely come back when I’m in the area.

We had an excellent three-night stay. The property is in great condition, and with so few guests we didn’t even see the others while we were there. The host came to check on us and was excellent to deal with. You can see how much care the owners put into it, which makes me think it’ll stay well maintained over time. I really like their take on a guest house.

Yvonne and Marcus were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to help us deal with travel difficulties. We’d absolutely return to the Ammergau Lodge and highly recommend it. The rooms were clean and stylish, and the shared kitchen and dining area were spacious and modern. There were lots of thoughtful touches, including French presses, plenty of cooking utensils, beers to go, and hiking recommendations. All around, a great experience.

The location made the stay easy, close to a bus stop and just a few minutes' walk from the town center. Room #2 was spacious, clean, and modern, and check-in was simple to do yourself. The shared kitchen was modern and fully supplied with utensils. The owners were kind and attentive, and I had an excellent stay.
