We came back for a third visit, this time booking three apartments for five days, but the place has changed hands since before. The new owner seems to be aiming more at assisted living for older people. Upkeep and modernization appear to have stopped: the furniture is dated, and there’s no Wi-Fi in the apartments. It used to be child-friendly, but the playroom is gone and the playground is shut because it lacks safety certification. Sadly, we can’t recommend this holiday complex.

We return every year with the family because we love this hotel. It’s right in the center and looks lovely, and the rooms are really comfortable. The ones facing the Thuringian Forest are especially nice.

I’m there for work quite often, so I can’t really say much more about it.

I can’t really give any details. We only saw it while I was out walking.

Sadly, it’s turned into a retirement home.
